It is with great disappointment we, Interrogate, announce the departure of vocalist Andy Campbell.  We received a text message just a couple of days ago notifying us  that he has quit the band, the reasons for which still completely baffle us.  

Therefore it is with great regret we have to cancel all our upcoming shows.  We would like to apologise to all the promoters and bands involved in these shows and to anyone who had intended coming to see us.  This has come as unexpected to us as it has to you.

Over the next few days we will be discussing the future of the band and what the next step for us will be.  We will post another update for you all very soon so stay tuned.

The Distortion Project is pleased to announce the release of the brand new Interrogate album “Scarred for Life”.  Recorded in the first half of 2009 at Manor Park Studios, “Scarred for Life” contains 8 tracks of blistering modern metal, with a unique, melodic twist, thanks in part to the vocal techniques of singer Andy Campbell.  Produced by Neil Calderwood this album runs the gamut of crushingly heavy moments to soaring melodies, crunching guitars and pounding double-kick drums. After winning heat 3 last week INTERROGATE are through to the BLOODSTOCK Metal 2 The Masses FINAL in the Rosetta Bar, Sat 18th July

The winning band will play at the Bloodstock festival in Derby, England in August of this year & also next year so please come down bring as many people as you can to support us & vote for us.  A couple of the judges from Bloodstock will be over on the night and audience votes as well as the judges will decide who the winners are so your support will be greatly appreciated!

*We are also playing earlier that evening at the Limelight in Belfast so that’ll be 2 gigs in the one night so feel free to come down to both people for a night of TOTAL METAL!!!!

This meant that the song was played on the on-air showcase which is quite a big deal as it meant the song is being heard by a massive international audience which gives us a lot of exposure so a big thank-you to everyone that voted for us and/or reviewed either of our songs.  This is only a start though and we need as many votes and good reviews of both songs (Losing It All + Sorrow Remains) to progress further and gain even more exposure.

Just last week we  recorded a couple of live tracks from our new album for Radio 1 NI’s Rory McConnell for his BBC Introducing show last week.  The show airs every Wednesday night from 12 midnight and showcases up-and-coming and undiscovered talent in N. Ireland.  We were meant to do 3 tracks but Andy was suffering from a sore throat and we didn’t want him blowing his voice out a few days before the album launch.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank No Grace Given & Triggerman and the absolutely stunning pole-dancers for putting on an awesome show and helping to make Saturday one hell of a day.   We’d also like to thank James from The Distortion Progect for helping us put the show on, Connor and Brian for doing a brilliant job on the sound and the biggest thanks of all to everyone who came down to the Limelight, bought our CDs and t-shirt and make our album launch a real success. There was an awesome turn-out and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and it really showed that the metal scene in Northern Ireland is stronger than ever!

APOLOGY: There was a raffle we did for a bottle of vodka/jager which was meant to be made after the last song but didn’t happen unfortunately. After our last song we were meant to come back onto the stage to do an encore then make the draw onstage afterwards but the staff turned the house lights on & everyone started to leave which sort of took us by surprise so we do owe everyone who bought a ticket an apology.

To make up for this we’re going to take the money from the raffle and donate it to charity. We’ll put a post up here when we choose the charity and let you’s know. We sincerely apologise for this fuck-up, it was definitely not intentional as we do not believe in ripping people off.

Hey everyone

Welcome to the new official Interrogate website where you can find out the latest news and happenings with the band as well as gig listings/tour dates.  You can also check out new photo galleries which include live shots, promo shots and photos of the band during the recording sessions for the album at Manor Park Studios and there is a new merch store where you can purchase the ‘Unbroken’ EP, ‘Scarred For Life’ album and t-shirts.  There will be more new merch added in the coming months and we’ll also be adding some videos for you to check out.

This Saturday 30th May we will be launching our new album at The Limlight in Belfast with support from the mighty Triggerman and No Grace Given.  There will also be raffles, Jagermeister girls and 3 stunning pole-dancers for your viewing pleasure courtesy of Polercise Ireland who will be dancing to some of your favourite rock and metal tunes!

Doors open 5pm, Admission is a measley £5, music until 9pm.

This promises to be one hell of an evening so get your asses down there and tell everyone you know about it.  Beer, Jagermeister, heavy metal and pole-dancers…what more could you want people!!?
